This 4-hour workshop will teach you to use the tufting gun and make a customized mirror rug design. This workshop takes place at our cosy tufting studio, Shaggies; a fun and chill place to unwind and be creative! No experience is required. This class will cover the basics, and you’ll be adept enough to complete the piece within the workshop time.

Including: Mimosa's & Donuts! Yum!

What to expect:
The instructor will take you through the basics of operating the tufting gun. Within minutes, you'll be able to create rows of stitches on the one end to see fluffy tufts of yarn blossom on the flipside. Enjoy slowly hand-making your own customized-design mirror - one tuft at a time!

Finally, they'll help you with the finishing touches of the mirror rug and tidying up the loose ends.

​You can make your own design or use one of our workshop designs. Whatever you wish!

There is a maximum of 8 participants for the workshop.

What you'll learn:

• Introduction to the AK-I cut pile machine

• Incorporate your design on a round or rectangular mirror

• Pick up the ABCs of using the tufting gun; like how to manoeuvre the gun, insert the yarn, and some basic tufting rules

You get to take home:

1. A DIY-pack with the backing glue

2. Your Mirror

3. Of course your tufted design:).

You can put together your rug at home. The glue (to secure all the yarn) needs to dry for 10 hours. For that reason it is not possible to glue it at the workshop. But don't worry. It will be easy!

Cancelation policy:

If the customer, for whatever reason, cannot be present at one of his/her lessons, the customer must notify this no later than one week (!) before the start by e-mail (info@shaggies-amsterdam.com or telephone (0630958977).

If the customer cancels on time, it is still possible to make up this lesson at another time free of charge, provided when the teacher in question teaches at a different time, and there is room within the lesson.

If the customer is late with cancelling, it is not possible to make up for this lesson free of charge. Although, if the customer can find a replacement for the date booked, the customer can reschedule the workshop to another date.
